Since 2010 the artist lives and works at Schloß Jägersburg in Germany. Bentzel´s work unifies concept and artistic freedom. With intuitive determination he applies his paint brush spreading paint onto the canvas and sometimes he allows his thinned colours to run over the surface of the picture, yet in order to stop them running sometimes and also to dissolve something already formed (created) by chemicals. The artist knows how to equally produce tension and harmony by combination of glazing and painting technique using pastel shades (colours). This "contradiction in adjecto" reflects his inner disturbance (disruption) and culminates in the picture Triptychon Gössweinstein, 2014. Soft colour accords contrast dramatic painting coupled with expressive gesture. Colour fields (surfaces) contoured with broken lines (colour fields enclosed with broken contours) are close to free colour splashes, which pour out onto an almost swaying (pending) transparent underground. Inbetween abstract bodies and faces peer over them. They are either immediately recognised or are revealed by closer inspection. As a whole they all have a spiritual effect.

Constructions of coloured energy fields and abstracted nudes as well as heads by manifold strong (firm) and delicate lines broken or contoured  (enclosed) reveal most intimate feelings of the artist. The recipient is to interpret the content of this inner reality freely. The pictures leave room (space) to explore continuously new fields of discovery and intense occupation with art is determined (decided).
